Fox Valley Scout Program Collaboration
The Fox Valley Scout Program Collaboration is a group of field trip providers that have developed programs based on
the requirements of BSA cub scout awards of merit and Brownie and Junior Girl Scout badges. We have collaborated
to provide a range of professionally-led programs that give scouts of all levels an opportunity to earn awards in field
trip settings throughout the Fox Valley.  Our efforts are published in a single brochure to make it easier for scout
leaders to find the programs they need.  This collaboration is voluntary, and is organized by the providers.
Please contact each provider for registration
materials and program information at their sites.

SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT GIRL SCOUT PROGRAMS

With regret, Heckrodt Wetland Reserve is not able to conduct Brownie Try-It
or Girl Scout Badge programs or clinics at this time due to the recent changes in
Girl Scout programming rules. New rules prohibit us from advertising on the
GSNWGL Council website without paying fees. We cannot afford the fees or
the cost to advertise in the Source. It's just not in our budget to do so at this
time. New rules also dictate that we must supply lesson plans and realign our
nature-based programs to conform with the new GS program changes. We do
not have staff available to modify our programs or the dollars needed to
purchase the many books required to accomplish these changes.

We will be happy to consider accommodating your troop with a program or
hike that is not specific to Badges or Try-Its but may indirectly meet some of
the requirements within those two programs. Our ability to do so will depend on
the availability of a naturalist during the time you wish to come to the Reserve.
While we will do our best, there is no guarantee a naturalist will be available.
Fees for these naturalist-led programs are $5/scout with a minimum fee of $25.

Troops are welcome to attend public programs for the published fee/person.
Please pre-register to let us know how many people you may be bringing. You
may also visit the Reserve on your own any time during business hours at no
charge. A call ahead is always appreciated. Reserve staff is not responsible for
meeting your adult to girl chaperone ratio.
